Gayathri Ramamurthy married Arvind Swamy on 3 June 1994. But after 16 years of marriage, divorce was filed in the Principal Family Court at High Court Campus in 2010 due to unforeseeable reasons. Gayathri Ramamurthy and Arvind Swamy have been together for just 7 years after marriage, they did not get along for reasons beyond their understanding, so they decided to separate in 2003. When they decided to separate in 2003, they had two children, Adhira Swamy and Rudra Swamy, who decided to live with Arvind Swamy.
In the year 2010, divorce was filed by mutual consent in the Principal Family Court, High Court Campus.
